Summary

Calculate Vedic Panchang (five limbs: Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana) for specified time and location with configurable ayanamsa and node type.

Inputs

• locationType (required) — Location specification method: 'city' auto-detects coordinates; 'coordinates' requires explicit latitude/longitude
• city — Birth city name (required when locationType='city')
• countryCode — 2-letter ISO country code (required when locationType='city')
• latitude — Geographic latitude in decimal degrees (-90 to 90, positive=North; required when locationType='coordinates')
• longitude — Geographic longitude in decimal degrees (-180 to 180, positive=East; required when locationType='coordinates')
• ayanamsa — Precession correction system for Vedic calculations (default: 'lahiri')
• nodeType — Lunar nodes calculation method (default: 'mean')
• precision — Decimal precision for degree calculations (0-6; default: 2)

Output shape

object containing Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana data for the requested time/location

Returned data type and structure depends on the 'simplify' parameter setting
