Calculate Vedic transit positions and chart overlay based on natal birth data and location, using the specified ayanamsa and lunar node calculation method.

Inputs

• year (required) — Birth year in 4-digit format (e.g., 1990). Default: 1990.
• month (required) — Birth month as number 1-12 (January=1, December=12). Default: 1.
• day (required) — Birth day of month (1-31). Default: 1.
• hour (required) — Birth hour in 24-hour format (0-23, where 0=midnight, 12=noon). Default: 12.
• minute (required) — Birth minute (0-59). Default: 0.
• locationType (required) — Choose how to specify birth location: by city name (auto-detects coordinates) or exact latitude/longitude. Default: city.
• city (required) — Birth city name (e.g., 'London'). Required when locationType is 'city'. Default: empty string.
• countryCode (required) — 2-letter ISO country code for the birth city (e.g., GB, US). Required when locationType is 'city'. Default: empty string.
• latitude (required) — Geographic latitude of birth location in decimal degrees (-90 to 90, positive=North). Required when locationType is 'coordinates'. Default: 0.
• longitude (required) — Geographic longitude of birth location in decimal degrees (-180 to 180, positive=East). Required when locationType is 'coordinates'. Default: 0.
• ayanamsa (required) — Ayanamsa (precession correction) system for Vedic calculations. Options: Fagan-Bradley, Galactic Center 0 Sag, J.N. Bhasin, Krishnamurti (KP), Lahiri (default, official Indian government standard), Raman, True Citra, True Pushya, True Revati, Yukteshwar.
• nodeType (required) — Calculation method for lunar nodes (Rahu/Ketu). Mean Node (average position, most commonly used in Vedic astrology) or True Node (actual astronomical position, used in some KP calculations). Default: mean.
• precision — Decimal precision for degree calculations (0-6). Default: 2.
• simplify — Whether to return simplified response with key data only. Disable for full API response with all metadata. Default: true.

Output shape

Returns Vedic transit chart data including planetary positions, house cusps, and lunar node positions in the Vedic system. When simplify is true, returns a condensed object with key data only; otherwise returns the full API response with all metadata.

Transit calculation overlays current/transit planetary positions on the natal Vedic chart. The operation consumes the birth data and location parameters to compute transit effects. All input parameters are required unless otherwise noted; latitude/longitude are mutually exclusive with city/countryCode based on locationType selection.

Example 1: Basic Vedic transit calculation

Provide birth datetime (1990-06-15 14:30) and location (London, GB) with default Lahiri ayanamsa and mean nodes, then enable simplification.
