Summary

Add a tag to a contact by specifying the contact ID and the tag name, creating the tag if it does not already exist.

Inputs

• contactId (required) — Numeric ID of the contact to which the tag will be added. This can be mapped dynamically from previous workflow data.
• name (required) — Name of the tag to add to the contact. If the tag does not exist, it will be created automatically.

a single JSON object containing the API response with metadata about the resource, operation, HTTP method, and request path

The node returns the result of the POST request to the /contacts/{contactId}/tags/ endpoint. The response includes a '_meta' object with details such as the resource ('contacts'), operation ('AddContactTag'), request method, and path. If the API response is empty or null, a default { ok: true } object is returned. If execution fails and continueOnFail is enabled, a JSON object with success: false and error details is returned.

Examples

Example 1: Add a 'VIP' tag to contact with ID 123

Set 'Contact ID' to 123 and 'Name' to 'VIP'.
