Summary

Downloads a media item’s decrypted file bytes for use in later workflow steps. The item must already be mirrored locally; otherwise the request fails, and you can use Force Download and retry after it finishes.

  • Account Name or ID — Select the WhatsApp account, or leave blank to auto-select when the API key is bound to one account. A key with access to multiple accounts requires a selection.

Output shape

A single item with media metadata in JSON and the downloaded file in the specified binary field.

The download only succeeds when the media item is already downloaded locally; otherwise it fails with a 409. Use Force Download, wait until the item’s state is downloaded, then retry.
