Summary

Send an image, video, audio file, document, or sticker to a WhatsApp chat or group. Choose an account and recipient, provide the media by public URL, input binary field, or base64, and optionally set a caption, filename, MIME type, send priority, retry limit, or reply target. Requires SocialMate Pro.

Inputs

  • Account Name or ID — Select the WhatsApp account to send from. May be left empty when the API key is bound to a single account; otherwise select an account.
  • Chat ID / Phone Number (required) — Recipient phone number in international format, or a group JID ending in @g.us.
  • Media Type — Media kind: audio, document, image, sticker, or video. Defaults to image.
  • Media Source — Choose URL, Binary Property, or Base64. Defaults to URL.
  • URL — For URL source, provide a public HTTPS URL that the server can fetch. URL sends may auto-queue when rate-limited on Pro.
  • Input Binary Field — For Binary Property source, the input binary field containing the file. Defaults to data; its filename and MIME type are used when available and not overridden.
  • Base64 Data — For Base64 source, provide the file as a base64 string; the UI description gives an approximate 20 MB maximum. Base64 sends cannot auto-queue when rate-limited.
  • Additional Fields — Optional caption (up to 4096 characters), filename override, and MIME type override.
  • Options — Optional queue priority and max retries, plus a Reply To Message ID to quote an existing message.

Output shape

A single JSON result per input item describing the send outcome.

A successful send returns the API response, including the message ID and status. A rate-limit block with anti-ban details is returned as JSON with sent:false and blocked:true; other request errors fail the operation unless Continue On Fail is enabled. The operation sends one media message per input item.
