Message → Send Poll

AI-generated

Summary

Sends a poll message (2–12 options) to a WhatsApp chat and returns the message ID.

Inputs

  • accountId — WhatsApp account to run this operation on. The list shows only accounts your API key is allowed to use; leave it empty to auto-select when the key is bound to a single account (a multi-account key requires a choice). Choose from the list, or specify an ID using an expression.
  • chatId (required) — A phone number in international format including the country code — punctuation, a leading + and a 00 prefix are all accepted (e.g. +1 (555) 123-4567, 15551234567). The country code is required. For a group, pass its JID ending in @g.us.
  • pollName (required) — The poll question shown above the options.
  • pollOptions (required) — Between 2 and 12 answer options, separated by commas.
  • pollSelectableCount — How many options a voter may pick. 1 = single-select.
  • priority — Used if the message is auto-queued by the anti-ban pipeline (Pro).
  • maxRetries — Retries if auto-queued (Pro).
  • replyTo — Quote an existing message so this send appears as a threaded reply to it. Pass a message ID from a Trigger event, Search or an earlier send.

Output shape

a single record with the message ID and status

Status is 'sent' once WhatsApp accepts it, and advances to 'delivered' / 'read' asynchronously. Poll results are not included; use Get Poll Results to read them.
