Summary

Send one or more contact cards to a WhatsApp chat or group. Each card includes a full name and international phone number, with an optional organization; sending requires SocialMate Pro.

Inputs

  • Account Name or ID — WhatsApp account to send from. Leave empty to auto-select when the API key can use one account; choose an account when the key has access to multiple.
  • Chat ID / Phone Number (required) — Recipient phone number in international format with country code, or a group JID ending in @g.us. Phone numbers may include punctuation, a leading +, or a 00 prefix.
  • Contacts (required) — One or more contact cards, up to 10. Each requires a full name and phone number in international format; organization is optional.
  • Options — Optional priority and maximum retries for messages that are auto-queued, plus a message ID to quote as a reply. Contact cards cannot be auto-queued when the anti-ban limiter blocks them; the send is refused with a retry-after instead.

Output shape

A single record describing the send, typically {sent, messageId, chatId, type, timestamp, status}.

A successful send is reported as sent when WhatsApp accepts it; delivery and read status may update asynchronously and can be checked later with Message: Search / List. An anti-ban block may instead return a record with sent: false, blocked: true, and retry details.
