Summary

Create a new asset associated with a specific client in XOCRM by providing required asset details and optional additional fields.

Inputs

• Client (required) — The ID of the client this asset belongs to, selectable from existing clients via a dropdown.
• Name (required) — Name of the asset to create.
• Asset Type (required) — Type of the asset, chosen from predefined options such as Laptop, Desktop, Server, etc.
• Additional Fields — Optional fields to provide more details about the asset, including hostname, serial number, asset tag, manufacturer, model, processor, RAM (GB), storage (GB), OS type and version, assigned to, purchase date, warranty expiration date, status, and notes.
• Timezone — Timezone to correctly adjust date/time values such as purchase and warranty expiration dates; defaults to US/Eastern (New York).
• Simplify — Whether to return a simplified version of the response instead of the full raw data.

Output shape

a single record representing the newly created asset

The operation returns detailed JSON object with the created asset's properties. Date/time fields in the input are adjusted according to the specified timezone. If 'Simplify' is enabled, only key fields are returned. The output also may include rate limit information under the '_rateLimit' key.

Examples

Example 1: Create a new asset for a client called 'Office Laptop' of type Laptop with optional details such as serial number and assigned user, specifying timezone as 'America/New_York'.
