Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific asset by its ID.

Inputs

• Asset ID (required) — The ID of the asset to retrieve.
• Timezone — Timezone to convert date/time values in the response; defaults to America/New_York. Set to UTC if your timestamps are already in UTC.
• Simplify — Whether to return a simplified version of the response containing only key asset fields instead of the full detailed data.

Output shape

a single record object containing the asset data

Returns the asset object matching the Asset ID. If 'Simplify' is true, returns only selected key fields such as id, name, assetType, hostname, serialNumber, status, assignedTo, and clientId. Includes rate limit information if available.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve full asset details

Set Resource to Asset, Operation to Get, specify Asset ID, optionally adjust Timezone and Simplify off (default).

Example 2: Retrieve simplified asset details

Set Resource to Asset, Operation to Get, specify Asset ID, set Simplify to true to get only key fields.
