Summary

Update an existing asset in XOCRM by specifying the asset's ID and the fields to be updated.

Inputs

• Asset ID (required) — The ID of the asset to update.
• Update Fields — A collection of optional fields to update on the asset, such as Name, Asset Type, Hostname, Serial Number, Asset Tag, Manufacturer, Model, Processor, RAM (GB), Storage (GB), OS Type, OS Version, Assigned To, Purchase Date, Warranty Expiration, Status, and Notes.
• Timezone — Timezone for converting date/time values; used to properly adjust any date/time fields provided.
• Simplify — Whether to return a simplified version of the response containing selected key fields instead of the raw data.

Output shape

a single updated asset record as JSON

The output contains the updated asset's data. If Simplify is enabled, only key fields are returned. Date/time fields in the update payload are adjusted according to the specified Timezone before sending the update request.

Examples

Example 1: Update asset with ID 123 changing its name and status

Set 'Asset ID' to 123, add 'Name' and 'Status' in 'Update Fields' with new values.
