Summary

Uploads a binary file from the input item and sends it as a message in the selected conversation. You can add a caption, send it as a private note, set a wait and status indicator, and attach JSON metadata.

Inputs

• Account (required) — Select an account or enter its numeric ID.
• Inbox (required) — Select an inbox or enter its numeric ID.
• Conversation (required) — Select a conversation or enter its numeric ID.
• Input Data Field Name (required) — Name of the input binary property containing the file; defaults to data.
• Is Recorded Audio (PTT) — Enable for a recorded audio message with a WhatsApp push-to-talk indicator. Defaults to false; the caption field is hidden and captions are ignored for audio files.
• Caption — Caption or content for the file message; defaults to empty and is hidden for recorded audio.
• Private Note — Send the file as a private note that is not visible to the customer. Defaults to false.
• Show Status While Waiting — Show a typing or recording indicator during a configured wait before sending. Defaults to true.
• Wait Before Sending — Choose no delay (default) or a fixed delay before sending.
• Wait Time (Seconds) — Delay duration in seconds when fixed wait is selected; defaults to 5, with a UI range of 0–60.
• Attachment Metadata — JSON object of custom metadata to attach to the file; defaults to {}.

Output shape

A single API response item for the sent file message.

The operation uses the binary file from the named input property. The source pack shows the send implementation but not its response wrapping details, so the exact response fields are unspecified.
