Summary

Create a user-defaults template for the selected tenant, with optional profile, licensing, sign-in, and account settings that can be used as defaults for new users.

Inputs

• Tenant (required) — Select a tenant from the list or enter its default domain.
• Options — Set any template fields you need: template name, name and contact details, address, company, department and job title, username format, primary domain, usage location, licenses, aliases and alternate emails, password and first-sign-in password change, manager, sponsor, user to copy from, and whether the template is the tenant default or should remove existing licenses. JSON LabelValue objects are expected for Copy From, Primary Domain, Set Manager, Set Sponsor, and Usage Location; Licenses and Other Emails are comma-separated, and Added Aliases are newline-delimited.

Output shape

A single API response record or value.

The operation sends the tenant and configured options to CIPP to add user defaults. The source’s response handling determines the returned value; the operation does not declare a custom output shape.
