Summary

Updates an existing Bullhorn Company record with specified fields.

Inputs

• id (required) — The ID of the Company record to update.
• inputMode — How to build the update payload: 'fields' for UI field pairs or '' for a pre-built JSON object. Only available when operation is Update.
• updateData — Field-value pairs to update. Only include fields that need changing. Only available when inputMode is 'fields'.
• dataJson — JSON object of fields to write. Empty/null/undefined values are skipped. Numeric TO_ONE references are auto-wrapped as {id: 123}. Only available when inputMode is ''.
• outputFields — Fields to include in every output item. Merged into results, no-results, and error items.

Output shape

a single record (the updated Company entity)

If the data payload is empty (all values skipped), the operation succeeds as a no-op. Results, no-results, and error items all include the specified outputFields.

Examples

Example 1: Update Company status via UI field pairs

Set inputMode to 'fields', add an 'id' field, and configure 'updateData' with the status field (e.g., status: 'Active').

Example 2: Update Company via JSON payload

Set inputMode to '' and provide a JSON object with the fields to update (e.g., { name: 'New Name', description: 'Updated' }).
