Summary

Parse a resume provided as binary file or text (plain or HTML) to extract candidate data and create a new candidate record or update an existing one in Bullhorn.

Inputs

• Authentication — Choose authentication mode: User Credentials (Email & Password) or Enterprise Credentials (API Key). Defaults to Enterprise credentials.
• Enable Operations Log — Toggle to emit audit log entries for this parse operation to a secondary output.
• Input Type (required) — Specify how resume content is supplied: Auto-detect (binary file first, else text field), Binary File, Text Content, or HTML Content.
• Binary Property — Name of the binary property holding the resume file (e.g., 'data'). Used if input type is binary or auto-detect and binary data is available.
• Content Field — JSON field providing resume content as plain text or HTML, used if input is text, HTML, or auto with no binary file.
• Mode (required) — Choose whether to create a new candidate ('create') or update an existing candidate record ('update').
• Candidate ID (required) — ID of the existing candidate to update if Mode is 'update'.
• Output Format (required) — Format for parsed resume content in the response: plain text or HTML.
• Populate Description (required) — How to populate the candidate's description field: with HTML (recommended), plain text, or not at all.
• Extract Skills (HR-XML) (required) — Enable HR-XML parsing for enhanced skill extraction providing detailed competencies.
• Save Skills to Candidate — If HR-XML extraction is enabled, automatically associate extracted skills to Bullhorn candidate Skill entities.
• Create Missing Skills — If auto-saving skills, create new Skill entities for unmatched skills, or list them for manual review.
• Skill Routing Strategy — Strategy for routing skills to candidate's primarySkills or secondarySkills fields: all-primary, by-type (recommended), or manual.
• Primary Skill Names — Comma-separated skill names routed to primarySkills when using manual skill routing.
• Secondary Skill Names — Comma-separated skill names routed to secondarySkills when using manual skill routing.
• Output Fields — Additional fields to include in each output item, merged into all results.

Output shape

a single item containing the parsed resume data, candidate record information, extracted skills array, and optionally updated candidate id if updating an existing candidate

The output includes structured candidate data extracted from the resume, educational and work history details, skills (from both standard and HR-XML parsing), and optionally updates the candidate record's description field per configuration. The second output provides an operations log if enabled. Errors are returned as error items per input.
