Summary

Updates user settings for the Timesheet application, including preferences for theme, language, timezone, currency, and display options.

Inputs

• authentication (required) — Authentication method to use for the API request. Options include API Key, OAuth2, or OAuth 2.1 (PKCE).
• teamId — Team to associate with the settings update. Required when teams are activated in your profile; leave empty otherwise. Can be selected from a list or provided as an ID.
• updateFields — A collection of settings to update. Includes theme (Light, Dark, System), language, timezone, currency, date/time/duration formats, first day of week, default task/break durations, entries per page, display options (relatives, weekly/monthly summaries, timer/pause rounding), and edit views.

Output shape

a single item containing the updated settings object

The operation returns the updated settings object; no body is returned on success.

Examples

Example 1: Change the application language to German and the timezone to Europe/Berlin.

Set updateFields.language to 'de' and updateFields.timezone to 'Europe/Berlin' (with teamId left empty if teams are not active).

Example 2: Switch the UI theme to Dark Mode and enable weekly summary emails.

Set updateFields.theme to 'dark', updateFields.weeklySummary to true, and updateFields.monthlySummary to false.
