Summary

Updates a Timesheet task by ID, applying the supplied start or end time, description, billable, paid, or billed fields. For a task that is not running, provide an end time later than its start time.

Inputs

• authentication (required) — Authenticate with an API key, OAuth2, or OAuth 2.1 (PKCE).
• taskId (required) — ID of the task to update.
• teamId — Select a team or enter its ID when teams are enabled for your profile; otherwise leave empty.
• updateFields — Optional fields to update: start date/time, end date/time, description, billable, paid, and billed. Supply an end time later than the start time when updating a task that is not running.

a single updated task record

The operation sends the selected update fields to the Timesheet API and returns its task response. Date/time inputs are normalized to ISO 8601 with an explicit timezone offset.
