Summary

Remove one or more tags from a contact identified either by phone number or contact ID, without requiring an associated ticket, to update the contact's tag associations in the system.

Inputs

• Number — Phone number of the contact to remove tags from; used if contactId is not provided. It supports optional number validation to normalize the input according to Brazilian 9-digit rules.
• Tag IDs — One or more tag IDs to remove from the contact. Accepts either a single tagId or multiple tagIds in JSON format.
• Validate Number — Whether to validate and normalize the phone number according to Brazilian dialing rules. Defaults to true; when false, the number is used exactly as provided, which can help avoid ticket duplicates in WhatsApp Business API.

Output shape

a single data object representing the updated contact or confirmation of tag removal

The operation sends a request to remove the specified tag(s) from the contact identified by the number. If contactId is not explicitly provided, the 'Number' field is used to locate the contact. The output is the raw API response wrapped as a single object; no pagination or batching affects the response shape here.
