Summary

Update an existing user's details by specifying their User ID and optionally providing a new name and/or email address.

Inputs

• User ID — ID of the user to be updated (defaults to 1 if not specified).
• Name — New full name of the user (optional).
• Email — New email of the user (optional).

Output shape

a single user record reflecting the updated user information

The response is the updated user object returned by the API; only fields provided in inputs are changed. Optional input fields default to preset values if not specified, but can be omitted entirely to leave unchanged.

Examples

Example 1: Update user with ID 123, changing name to "John Doe" and email to "john.doe@example.com"

Set User ID to 123, Name to "John Doe", and Email to "john.doe@example.com".
