Summary

Update a company record identified by its ID, modifying specified fields and optionally managing its associations with other entities.

Inputs

• ID (required) — The ID of the company record to update.
• Fields to Update (required) — Select one or more fields to update such as name, email, domain, phones, industry_id, source_id, user_id, or employees, and provide their new values.
• Manage Associations — Choose whether to attach, detach, or sync associations with other records (companies, contacts, deals, activities, or documents) after updating the company.
• Association Operation — Specify how to handle associations: Attach to add without removing existing, Detach to remove specific associations, or Sync to replace all existing associations.
• Associations — Provide associations as a JSON object, specifying IDs for companies, contacts, deals, activities, or documents to attach/detach/sync.

Output shape

a single updated company record represented as JSON

If managing associations, the associations are updated after modifying the company record. Errors return as an error message JSON object if 'continueOnFail' is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Update a company's name and email by ID and attach new contact associations

Set the company ID, specify 'name' and 'email' in fields to update with new values, enable Manage Associations, choose 'attach' as association operation, and specify contacts IDs in associations JSON.
