Summary

Update an existing product if it matches specified search criteria, or create a new product if no match is found.

Inputs

• searchByField (required) — Select the field to search products by, such as email, name, or phone number
• create and update fields (required) — Provide the product data fields to set for creating or updating the product record

Output shape

a JSON object representing the updated or newly created product record

The operation first searches for an existing product using the specified searchByField. If found, it updates that product; otherwise, it creates a new product. Associations can optionally be managed (attached, detached, or synced) after the operation if configured.

Examples

Example 1: Update or create a product by searching with the product name, providing fields such as price, description, and SKU. If a matching product is found, it updates it; if not, it creates a new product with the given data.

Set 'Resource' to 'Product', 'Operation' to 'Update or Create', select 'Search By' field (e.g., name), then provide necessary product fields.
