Summary

Update an existing user if a matching record is found by the selected field (email, name, or phone number), or create a new user record otherwise.

Inputs

• searchByField (required) — The user field to search by to find an existing user record: email address, first and last name, or phone number.
• user creation or update fields (required) — The set of user data fields to set when creating or updating the user record.
• manageAssociations — Option to also attach, detach, or synchronize associations with other entities after updating or creating the user.
• associationOperation — The operation to perform on associations: attach (add), detach (remove), or sync (replace all).
• associations — A JSON object specifying associated company, contact, deal, or other entity IDs to manage associations with the user.

Output shape

a single user record JSON object reflecting the created or updated user.

The node will attempt to find a user by the selected field and update it if found; if not found, it creates a new user with the provided data. Associations can be optionally managed post-operation. Errors are returned per input item if continue on fail is enabled.
