Summary

Update multiple parent records in WeCom's School Communication application in a batch, allowing modification of parent UserID, mobile phone number, and associated children lists in one request.

Inputs

• parentInputMode (required) — Select input mode for parent data: individual form entries (up to 100 parents) or a JSON array matching the official parents array format.
• parentsCollection (required) — When using 'form' input mode, provide a collection of 1 to 100 parents to update. For each parent, specify current UserID and optionally update UserID, mobile number, and children list, with constraints on uniqueness and children count.
• parentsJson (required) — When using 'JSON' input mode, supply a JSON array matching the official parents data structure for batch updating, which will be validated on required fields and data constraints.

Output shape

a JSON object containing the API response for the batch update operation

The operation returns the API response indicating success or failure of the batch update. Maximum of 100 parents can be updated per request. Children lists, if updated, fully replace the existing list. Empty children lists are ignored by WeCom API.

Examples

Example 1: Batch update multiple parents by their UserID to change mobile numbers and associated children.

Set 'parentInputMode' to 'form', add multiple parents in 'parentsCollection' each with 'parent_userid', and check the update flags ('update_mobile', 'update_children') and supply new values accordingly.

Example 2: Update parents data using a JSON array for complex or large batches.

Set 'parentInputMode' to 'json' and provide validated JSON array in 'parentsJson' parameter matching WeCom's expected data schema.
