Summary

Executes a selected management action on a device in the chosen tenant, such as scanning, rebooting, syncing, renaming, updating, wiping, or removing it from a management service.

Inputs

• tenantFilter (required) — Select the tenant from the list or enter its domain.
• deviceId (required) — The ID of the device to act on.
• executeDeviceAction (required) — Choose the action to run. Rename requires the new device name; other listed actions include Fresh Start, scans, reboot, sync, Windows Update actions, wipe, Autopilot actions, and removal from Autopilot, Azure AD, Defender, Intune, or everywhere.
• newDeviceName — The new name to apply when the selected action is Rename.
• normalizeNumbers — When enabled, converts numeric-looking string values in the API response to numbers.

Output shape

A single item containing the CIPP API response for the requested device action.

The action changes device state; the specific effect depends on the selected action. Numeric normalization is disabled by default.
