CIPP AdvancedInstall

Summary

Create a user-defaults template for the selected tenant, setting defaults for new users such as profile details, licensing, password behavior, and manager or sponsor. Fields in Options are optional; the operation sends the tenant filter as a query parameter and posts the selected template values to CIPP.

Inputs

• Tenant (required) — Select a tenant from the list or enter its domain.
• Options — Optionally set template name and default user values, including aliases, location and job details, password settings, licenses, primary domain, usage location, manager, and sponsor. Copy From, Primary Domain, Set Manager, Set Sponsor, and Usage Location are entered as JSON LabelValue objects. Licenses and Other Emails are comma-separated; Added Aliases are newline-delimited. Remove Licenses controls whether existing licenses are removed, and Default For Tenant indicates whether this is the tenant's default template.
• Normalize Numeric Strings — Convert decimal numeric strings in the API response to numbers; disabled by default.

Output shape

A single item containing the CIPP API response.

The source posts to the Add User Defaults endpoint with tenantFilter in the query string. Licenses and otherMails are converted from comma-separated strings to arrays; configured LabelValue fields are parsed from JSON. Response fields depend on the API.
