CIPP AdvancedInstall

Summary

Adds a GDAP role by sending the supplied action and configured role details to CIPP’s ExecAddGDAPRole endpoint. Use the additional fields to provide role mappings or template data when needed; numeric-string normalization is optional.

Inputs

• Action (required) — Action string sent as a query parameter; the UI suggests addRoles as an example.
• Additional Fields — Optional role creation values: Custom Suffix, comma-separated GDAP Roles, GDAP Template JSON (a LabelValue object), Invite Count (defaults to 1), Mappings JSON, Reference, Replace, and Template ID.
• Normalize Numeric Strings — Defaults to false. When enabled, recursively converts plain decimal numeric strings in the API response to numbers.

Output shape

The CIPP API response for the role creation request.

This operation makes a POST request to /api/ExecAddGDAPRole, passing Action in the query string and populated additional fields in the request body. It does not use a tenant selector.
