Summary

Audits a tenant’s license inventory to identify unused or potentially wasted licenses. It combines license data with disabled-user and inactive-account checks, then returns findings and an estimated monthly saving.

Inputs

• Tenant (required) — Select a tenant from the list or enter its domain.
• Fail Mode — Choose Best Effort to continue after individual step failures and include partial results, or Fast Fail to stop on the first failure. Defaults to Best Effort.
• Inactive Days Threshold — Number of days without sign-in used to classify an account as inactive. Defaults to 90; minimum is 1.
• Normalize Numeric Strings — Convert plain numeric strings in returned data into numbers. Defaults to false.

Output shape

A single composite audit result, including processed findings and per-step status metadata.

The audit checks license inventory, disabled users who may hold licenses, and inactive accounts. Best Effort can return partial results when steps fail; raw API payloads are omitted from step metadata. Estimated savings use a rough average of $8 per wasted license seat per month.
