Summary

Retrieve a specific message from a given channel by providing the channel ID and the message ID.

Inputs

• id (required) — The unique identifier of the channel from which to retrieve the message.
• message_id (required) — The unique identifier of the message within the channel.
• skipAuthentication — Optionally skip authentication when making the request (default is false).
• method — HTTP method to use for the request; defaults to GET.

Output shape

a single message object corresponding to the specified message ID in the given channel

The operation requires both 'id' and 'message_id' path parameters to call the endpoint '/api/v1/channels/{id}/messages/{message_id}'. Authentication is required unless 'Skip Authentication' is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve message with ID '1234' from channel '5678' using default authentication and GET method.

Set 'id' to '5678' and 'message_id' to '1234', ensure 'Skip Authentication' is false.
