Summary

Generate a chat completion by sending a POST request to the Ollama API's chat endpoint with a specified URL index and optional bypass filter.

Inputs

• url_idx (required) — The URL index path parameter identifying the specific chat resource to interact with.
• bypass_filter — Optional query parameter to bypass filters, expects a boolean value.
• requestBody (required) — A JSON object containing the data to send as the request body for generating the chat completion.
• skipAuthentication — Boolean flag to skip authentication; if false or omitted, uses Open WebUI authentication.

Output shape

a JSON object representing the response from the chat completion generation endpoint.

The response is returned directly from the POST request to /ollama/api/chat/{url_idx} using application/json media type. Authentication is applied by default unless skipped. The operation requires the url_idx path parameter and a valid JSON request body.

Examples

Example 1: Generate a chat completion with URL index 123 and bypass filter enabled.

Set path parameter 'url_idx' to '123', set query parameter 'bypass_filter' to true, provide the chat prompt or related data in the JSON request body, use POST method to /ollama/api/chat/123.
