Summary

Send a POST request to the /ollama/api/embed endpoint to generate an embedding based on the specified model and input.

Inputs

• model (required) — The embedding model to use for generating the embedding.
• input (required) — The input text or array of text strings to embed.
• truncate — Optional flag to truncate input if necessary.
• options — Optional additional options object for the embedding request.
• keep_alive — Optional keep-alive setting for the request.
• queryParameters.url_idx — Optional query parameter to specify the URL index.
• skipAuthentication — Boolean to skip authentication if set to true.

Output shape

a JSON object containing the embedding response from the Ollama API

The operation returns the response body from the POST request to /ollama/api/embed. The request must include the model and input in the JSON body. Optional query parameters and other body fields can be provided as needed. Authentication is used by default unless explicitly skipped.
