Summary

Perform a POST request to the Open Web UI's retrieval web search API endpoint to execute a search query within an optional collection.

Inputs

• skipAuthentication — Boolean to skip authentication; defaults to false.
• method (required) — HTTP method to use; must be POST for this operation.
• requestBody.collection_name — Optional collection name to scope the search query.
• requestBody.query (required) — Search query string to process.

Output shape

A JSON object containing search results returned by the /api/v1/retrieval/process/web/search endpoint.

The API request always uses POST and expects application/json media type. Authentication is required unless 'Skip Authentication' is enabled. The response structure depends on the Open Web UI's API and includes the search results matching the provided query.

Examples

Example 1: Search within a specific collection

Set 'collection_name' to the target collection and provide a 'query' string. The node posts this to the Open Web UI web search API and returns the search results.
