Summary

Create a new knowledge entry in Open Web UI by sending a POST request to the /api/v1/knowledge/create endpoint with specified details.

Inputs

• Skip Authentication — Boolean to skip authentication; defaults to false.
• Name (required) — The name of the knowledge entry to be created.
• Description (required) — A description for the knowledge entry.
• Data — Optional data object associated with the knowledge entry.
• Access Control — Optional access control object defining permissions for the knowledge entry.

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the newly created knowledge entry

Returns the created knowledge item JSON response from the Open Web UI API. The request body must include at least the required fields 'name' and 'description'. Authentication is handled by the OpenWebUI Auth credential unless Skip Authentication is enabled.
