Summary

Initiate a ZapGate WhatsApp session for the configured instance, using a QR code by default or a phone number to request a pair code. The operation may poll for the QR code or pair code after connecting and returns the API response with the code data when available.

Output shape

A single JSON item containing the API response, potentially augmented with qr or pairCode and qrFormat.

Although no operation-scoped properties are supplied, the implementation uses the method, phone, and qrFormat fields declared for connectSession. Choose paircode and provide a phone number with country code and digits only; for QR, qrFormat can select url, base64, or bin (bin is fetched as base64 here). If the initial response omits the code, it polls up to 12 times at 500 ms intervals. Requires ZapGate credentials with a base URL, instance ID, and admin API key.

Example 1: QR code URL

Select QR, keep QR format as URL, and have valid ZapGate admin credentials configured. The operation makes no QR-specific inputs mandatory and returns the QR value when it is ready.
