Summary

Send a binary file or recorded audio to a selected conversation.

Inputs

• accountId (required) — Select the account to use.
• inboxId (required) — Select the inbox to use.
• conversationId (required) — Select the conversation to use.
• binaryPropertyName (required) — The name of the input field containing the binary file data to be uploaded.
• isRecordedAudio — Whether this is a recorded audio message (Push-To-Talk on WhatsApp).
• fileCaption — Caption/content for the file message. Ignored for audio files.
• sendFileOptions — Options for sending the file (e.g., private note, attachment metadata).

Output shape

A single message object representing the uploaded file (e.g., containing message ID and status).

The node returns the created message; optional pagination not applicable.

Examples

Example 1: Send an invoice PDF to a customer conversation.

Set Account, Inbox, Conversation; binaryPropertyName='data'; fileCaption='Invoice'; optionally enable private note.

Example 2: Upload a recorded PTT audio clip.

Enable isRecordedAudio; provide binaryPropertyName; optionally add attachmentMetadata JSON.

Example 3: Send a private file with custom metadata.

Set private=true; provide attachmentMetadata JSON; set binaryPropertyName and optionally fileCaption.
