Summary

Adds a comment to a CRM record (activity, call, company, contact, deal, document or note) by POSTing the comment text to that record's comments endpoint in LLW CRM.

Inputs

• commentResourceType (required) — Type of record to comment on: Activities, Calls, Companies, Contacts, Deals, Documents or Notes. Defaults to Contacts. Used as the URL path segment.
• commentResourceId (required) — ID of the record to attach the comment to.
• commentBody (required) — The comment text, sent as the body field of the request.

Output shape

One item per input item, containing the JSON response returned by the LLW CRM API for the newly created comment.

The response shape is passed through unchanged from the API. Each output item is paired to its input item. If 'Continue On Fail' is enabled, a failed item yields {error: message} instead of stopping the workflow.

Examples

Example 1: Log an automated note on a deal when a payment webhook arrives.

Resource Type: Deals; Resource ID: {{$json.dealId}}; Comment Text: 'Payment received'.

Example 2: Comment on a contact after a form submission.

Resource Type: Contacts; Resource ID: set from an earlier step's contact ID; Comment Text: expression with the form answers.
