Summary

Retrieves detailed information about a specific Zoho Cliq channel.

Inputs

• channelId (required) — Channel to retrieve. In workflow mode supports Channel ID or unique name. In AI Tool mode must pass the channel_id string (e.g., P5452022000000451001).
• simplify — Whether to return a simplified version of the response instead of the raw data. Default is true.
• simplifyMode — Simplified and Selected Fields reduce output size and unwrap the response so each record is its own output item. Options: simplified, raw, selectedFields. Default is simplified.
• simplifyFields — The fields to include in the output when Simplify Mode is set to selectedFields. The record ID is always included. Options include channel_id, name, unique_name, description, level, status, participant_count, creation_time, last_modified_time, creator_id, creator_name, current_user_role, organization_id, invite_only, joined, pinned, chat_id, image_url, total_message_count, unread_message_count, unread_time, teams, last_message_info, admin_permission, moderator_permission, and member_permission.
• enableAiErrorMode — Whether to return errors as output items (continue-on-fail style) instead of stopping execution. Recommended for AI Tool runs that should recover from API errors.

Output shape

A single record or a simplified list of fields depending on the Simplify Mode selection.

The record ID is always included. Simplify Mode 'raw' returns the full Zoho response object. Simplify Mode 'simplified' or 'selectedFields' returns a flat structure of the specified fields.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve basic channel info by ID

Set Channel to 'By ID', enter the channel ID (e.g., P5452022000000451001), leave Simplify as default.

Example 2: Get specific channel details by unique name

Set Channel to 'By Unique Name', enter the channel name (e.g., my-channel), and select specific fields in Simplify Fields.

Example 3: Get full raw API response

Set Simplify Mode to 'Raw' to receive the complete Zoho API response object.
