Summary

Create a new department in Zoho Cliq by specifying details such as the department name, lead user ID, parent department ID, and optional member user IDs.

Inputs

• Enable AI Error Mode — Optionally return errors as output items instead of stopping execution, useful for workflows that should recover from API errors.
• Input Mode (required) — Choose between structured mode using individual fields or raw mode providing JSON payload directly.
• Name (required) — The name of the new department (required in structured input mode).
• Lead ZUID (required) — The Zoho Cliq user ID (ZUID) of the department lead who will own the new department (required in structured input mode).
• Parent Department ID (required) — The ID of the parent department under which this new department will be created (required in structured input mode).
• User IDs — Optional comma-separated list of user IDs to assign as members of the department (in structured input mode).
• Department Definition (JSON) (required) — The full JSON payload to create a department, used in raw input mode. Allowed fields: name, lead_zuid, parent_department_id, user_ids.
• Simplify — Choose whether to return the API response in a simplified form or raw format.
• Simplify Mode — When simplifying, select between 'Simplified', 'Raw', or 'Selected Fields' for the output shape.
• Output Fields — When using 'Selected Fields' simplify mode, choose which fields to include in the output, with ID always included.

Output format can be simplified or raw. Simplified mode can return all fields, a subset of selected fields, or the full simplified view. Use the 'Simplify' and 'Simplify Mode' options to adjust output shape.
