Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific Zoho Cliq department by its unique department ID.

Inputs

• departmentId (required) — The unique department ID to retrieve. Can be selected from a searchable list or entered manually using a valid ID format.
• enableAiErrorMode — Boolean flag to enable AI error mode, which returns API errors as output items instead of stopping execution. Useful for AI tool runs requiring error recovery.
• simplify — Boolean flag to return a simplified version of the department data instead of the raw API response.
• simplifyMode — Determines the format of the simplified output. Options include 'Simplified', 'Raw', and 'Selected Fields'. This option is shown only if 'simplify' is true.
• simplifyFields — When 'simplifyMode' is set to 'Selected Fields', specifies which department fields to include in the output. Always includes the ID field. Only visible if simplification and selected fields modes are enabled.

Output shape

a single department record as output item per execution, either raw or simplified according to options

The output contains one record representing the requested department. If simplification is enabled, the output is unwrapped and may be reduced in size using the specified simplifyMode and simplifyFields. If AI error mode is enabled and an API error occurs, errors are returned as output items allowing workflow continuation instead of execution failure.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve a department by selecting its ID from a list and get simplified data including ID, Name, and Lead.

Set 'Department' parameter using 'From List' mode, enable 'Simplify', set 'Simplify Mode' to 'Selected Fields', and select 'ID', 'Name', and 'Lead' in 'Output Fields'.

Example 2: Retrieve raw department data by entering department ID manually.

Set 'Department' parameter using 'By ID' mode with a department ID string, disable 'Simplify' to get raw API response.
