Summary

Edit an existing message in a specified Zoho Cliq chat by providing the chat ID, message ID, and the updated message content, supporting text, rich/card, or advanced JSON payloads.

Inputs

• Enable AI Error Mode — Optionally continue execution by returning errors as output items instead of stopping on failures, useful for AI Tool runs.
• Chat ID (required) — The unique Chat ID that contains the message to edit (distinct from Channel or Thread IDs).
• Message ID (required) — The unique ID of the message to be edited in the specified chat.
• Message Type (required) — Choose the format of the updated message content: text (Cliq Markdown), rich/card format, or advanced raw JSON payload.
• Text — New message content as text with limited Cliq markdown, used if Message Type is text.
• Show Cliq Markdown Guidance — Toggle to show examples of supported Cliq markdown in the text message.
• Add a Mention — Optionally add mentions within the text message with guided mention tokens.
• Mentions — Define specific mention entries such as users, teams, or channels to include in the text message.
• Card Input Mode — Choose to define card payload via raw JSON or a structured form with specific fields, for rich/card messages.
• Card Theme — Select a theme style for the card if using structured card payload input.
• Card Title — Optional title text displayed alongside the card icon if included.
• Card Payload JSON — Raw JSON object defining the full rich/card payload; required if using raw JSON input mode.
• Card Text — Text content on top of the card, limited to 4096 characters, if using structured card input.
• Add Card Icon — Optionally add a small icon at the top-left of the card.
• Card Icon Input Mode — Select whether the card icon is specified by an Iconify prefix/icon or a custom URL.
• Card Icon (Iconify Prefix/Icon) — Specify Iconify icon value for the card icon when using Iconify mode.
• Card Icon URL — Provide an HTTPS URL to an image for the card icon when using custom URL mode.
• Add Card Thumbnail Image — Optionally add a larger thumbnail image to the card.
• Card Thumbnail Input Mode — Select whether the thumbnail image is specified by Iconify or a custom URL.
• Card Thumbnail (Iconify Prefix/Icon) — Specify Iconify icon value for the card thumbnail image when using Iconify mode.
• Card Thumbnail URL — Provide an HTTPS URL to an image for the card thumbnail when using custom URL mode.
• Slides — Define multiple card components/slides (charts, graphs, images, labels, lists, tables, text) with detailed properties if using structured card input.

• Notify Edit — Choose whether to send a separate edit notification message; all edited messages display '(Edited)' by default.
• Include Enhanced Output — Return workflow-friendly metadata on success instead of the minimal raw API response.

Response includes enhanced output by default unless disabled. Errors can be returned as output items if AI Error Mode is enabled; otherwise, execution stops on error. Edits may be rejected due to permission restrictions or message age.
