Checklist → Bulk Update

AI-generated

Summary

Updates multiple IT Glue checklists in a single PATCH request to the checklists endpoint, using a JSON array of objects that each carry an ID plus the attributes to change.

Inputs

  • Items (bulkItems) (required) — JSON array (or a JSON string of an array) of objects. Each object needs an ID plus the attributes to change, e.g. [{"id":"123","name":"New"}]. The source reads the lowercase key id; the UI hint shows "ID". Use lowercase id, because an object without id throws an error. All other keys are sent unchanged as attributes. Attribute keys are not converted, so use IT Glue's kebab-case names. An empty array or invalid JSON throws an error.

Output shape

One output item per updated checklist returned by IT Glue. Each item has the attributes converted from kebab-case to camelCase, plus id, type, and relationships when present.

The call fails if Items is empty, is not valid JSON or not an array, or any entry lacks id. API errors (401, 403, 429, etc.) surface as node errors, and 429 responses are retried up to 3 times. If IT Glue returns no data, the node emits a placeholder item {found: 0, resource, operation}. With Continue On Fail enabled, an error item is emitted instead of stopping the run.

Examples

Example 1: Rename two checklists at once

Resource: Checklist, Operation: Bulk Update, Items: [{"id":"101","name":"Onboarding v2"},{"id":"102","name":"Offboarding v2"}]

Example 2: Build the update list from previous nodes

Set Items to an expression such as {{ JSON.stringify($input.all().map(i => ({id: i.json.id, name: i.json.newName}))) }}
