IT Glue ExtendedInstall

Summary

Creates a new configuration type in IT Glue (e.g. "Server" or "Laptop") by POSTing to the configuration_types endpoint and returns the created record.

Inputs

• Name (required) — The configuration type name. Sent as the name attribute in the JSON:API request body. This is the only input for this operation.

Output shape

A single item with the newly created configuration type, flattened from the JSON:API response. Attribute keys are converted from kebab-case to camelCase (e.g. name), and id and type are included.

The operation throws an error if IT Glue returns no data. Rate-limit (429) responses are retried up to 3 times. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors come back as an item with an error message. The resource is not organization-scoped, so the type is created globally rather than under one organization.
