AI-generatedSummary
Retrieves a list of IT Glue configuration records (devices/assets), optionally scoped to one organization, filtered, and with related resources embedded. Returns either all matching records or up to a set limit.
Inputs
- Return All — When true, pages through the API (1000 per page, up to 200 pages, errors beyond that) and returns every match. Default false.
- Limit — Max records to return when Return All is off (min 1, default 50). Sent as page[size] in a single request.
- Filters — Collection of optional filters, each sent as filter[...]: Name, Organization ID, Configuration Type ID, Serial Number, Archived. Empty values are ignored.
- Include — Multi-select of related resources to embed: Attachments, Configuration Interfaces, Passwords, Recent Versions, Related Items. Sent as a comma-separated include query.
- Organization Name or ID — Choose an organization (loaded from IT Glue) or supply an ID by expression. When set, the request goes to organizations/{id}/relationships/configurations instead of the global configurations endpoint.
Output shape
One n8n item per configuration. Attributes are flattened to the top level with camelCase keys, plus id, type, and relationships (when returned by the API).
If nothing matches, a single item {found: 0, resource, operation} is emitted. Included related resources are not expanded into separate items; only the relationships data from the API response appears. With Continue on Fail, errors become an item with an error message. 429 rate limits are retried automatically up to 3 times.
Examples
Example 1: List every active configuration for one client
Organization = client; Return All = true; Filters > Archived = false
Example 2: Look up a device by serial number across all organizations
Filters > Serial Number = 'ABC123'; Limit = 5
Example 3: Inventory servers with their network interfaces
Filters > Configuration Type ID = server type ID; Include = Configuration Interfaces; Return All = true
