IT Glue ExtendedInstall

Summary

Retrieves flexible assets of one selected Flexible Asset Type from IT Glue, either all of them (auto-paginated) or up to a limit, optionally embedding related resources.

Inputs

• flexibleAssetTypeId (required) — Flexible Asset Type to list, chosen from a dropdown loaded from IT Glue. Sent as filter[flexible-asset-type-id]; the operation throws if it is empty.
• returnAll — If true, fetches every page (1000 per page, up to 200 pages) and errors if the result set is larger than that. Default false.
• limit — Maximum number of results, sent as page[size]. Shown only when Return All is off. Default 50, minimum 1.
• include — Related resources to embed in the response: Attachments, Organization, Related Items. Sent as a comma-separated include query parameter.
• organizationId — Organization dropdown, or an ID set by expression. It is declared in the UI, but the Flexible Asset Get Many handler does not read it. Only the type filter, include, and paging are sent, so this does not narrow results.

Output shape

One n8n item per flexible asset. Attributes are flattened to the top level with camelCase keys (kebab-case converted), plus id, type, and relationships when present. Any traits appear as returned by IT Glue.

If nothing matches, the node outputs a single item {found: 0, resource, operation}. Included related records are not expanded into separate items, so they are available only through the relationships data. 429 rate-limit responses are retried up to 3 times. Other API errors are raised as node errors unless Continue On Fail is on.

Example 1: List the first 20 assets of a given type

Flexible Asset Type = 'Server Documentation', Return All = off, Limit = 20.

Example 2: Export all assets of a type with their organization and attachments

Flexible Asset Type = chosen type, Return All = on, Include = Organization + Attachments.
