IT Glue ExtendedInstall

Summary

Creates a new password category in IT Glue by POSTing a JSON:API password_categories record with the given name, and returns the created record.

Inputs

• name (required) — Name of the new password category. Sent as the name attribute of the created record.

Output shape

A single item with the created password category, flattened. Attribute keys are converted from kebab-case to camelCase and sit alongside id and type. relationships is included if IT Glue returns it.

Throws an error if IT Glue returns no data. The request goes to the global password_categories endpoint and is not scoped to an organization. API errors (401, 403, 429 and others) are surfaced as node errors, and 429 responses are retried up to 3 times. With Continue On Fail enabled, a failure yields an item containing the error message.

Example 1: Add a 'Network Devices' category before bulk-importing passwords.
