Summary

Send a stored WhatsApp Business template to a recipient through the selected WABA connection. Optionally provide body or text-header variables, a media URL, and dynamic URL button values; the node sends only non-empty optional values in the request.

Inputs

• WhatsApp ID (required) — ID of the WhatsApp WABA connection.
• Template ID (required) — ID of the template imported into the system.
• Phone Number (required) — Recipient number with country and area code.
• Body Parameters (JSON) — Object of template variable values keyed by number or name, such as {"1":"John"}. Sent as templateParams when non-empty.
• Header Media URL — Public media URL for a template with an IMAGE, VIDEO, or DOCUMENT header. Sent as mediaUrl when non-empty; otherwise this field is omitted.
• Header Parameters (JSON) — Object of text-header variable values keyed by number or name, such as {"1":"April Promotion"}. Sent as headerParams when non-empty.
• Button Parameters (JSON) — Array of dynamic URL button overrides, each with a button index, type, and value. Sent as buttonParams when non-empty.

Output shape

One or more n8n items containing the API response.

For each input item, the node makes a POST request to the template-send endpoint. An array response is split into one output item per entry; a non-array response becomes one item, with nullish responses represented as an empty object. Invalid optional JSON raises an error unless Continue On Fail is enabled.
